About

I’m a graduate with a degree in American literature, a former high school English teacher, and a lifelong reader and lover of all things books.

Now I’m a writer, too. I’ve completed my first novel, and I’m currently at work on finishing my second one. While most of my time is spent writing (and working toward traditional or self-publishing: TBD), I’ll forever love reading and telling friends about amazing books. After looking into self-publishing, I’ve seen the great need for indie authors to have solid support and quality reviews. I’m glad to be able to feature honest, positive, and constructive posts for all types of authors (see my review request form here).

A few of my favorites:

To teach: Shakespeare’s Macbeth, Caesar, and Romeo and Juliet, closely followed by Greek mythology and To Kill a Mockingbird, The Great GatsbyHuck Finn, and The Crucible.

To buy immediately: anything by Liane Moriarty, Emily Giffin, Curtis Sittenfield, J. Courtney Sullivan, Gillian Flynn

To recall fondly: Homecoming, Nancy Drew, Babysitter’s Club, Sweet Valley High, Saddle Club, Mary Higgins Clark, R.L. Stine, Agatha Christie

To hold closely: Acts, John, and Psalms.  I also like Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians, but that’s partially because I can always remember the order (Go Eat Pop Corn, naturally).  Look here for more about what I believe.

I hope my book reviews can steer you in the direction of some quality, meaningful, and fun reads – and I hope one day soon, you’ll be reading and loving my books, too.  In the meantime, keep on reading fully!
